2nd November 2003 Windsurfing: Bala Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: 4-6 Surf / Sea State: Choppy Air Temperature: 11 Sea Temperature: Blinkin Cold Weather: Rain & Overcast Max Speed: Distance Covered: Arrived about lunch time, 1 or 2 already out on the water. Couldn't decide what to rig, went for 5.5m sail. Got out up and planing, sail badly set, fin too big. Straight down wind, struggled like billy'o' to get back in. by which time the wind had moderated a bit. Changed fin & more downhaul on sail. Struggled on in difficult conditions, on - off etc. Had a really misarable can't get comfortable kind of day. Going home to burn my kit & take up tiddly winks. I'm sure the conditions were OK, but I was pants! |
